SKY-001 BIM construction world-model explained
Updated 2026-10-21. Independent summary, not a Skyfall AI publication.
Beside CAD, Skyfall presents a BIM construction world model. The task is a floor plan drawn as an ordered sequence of visual states, not a one-shot image of a finished layout. The company contrasts that with asking a language model to emit a long program or a long caption.
What the BIM numbers refer to
On skyfall.ai/sky-001 the BIM headline is 1.22 seconds and $0.0024 per plan for SKY-001, against 144.6 seconds and $0.446 for GPT-6 Astra. Introduction figures quoted elsewhere put IoU at 43.6% for SKY-001 and 40.6% for Astra. The product page headline also cites a best compared LLM IoU of 42.3%.
Those IoU scores are much lower than the CAD scores. A floor plan has walls, rooms, doors, and fixtures whose overlap against a reference is a harsh metric. A mid-40s IoU is not “a finished building.” It is the score Skyfall reported on its set.
Sequence versus a BIM authoring file
A construction sequence can show the order a plan might be drawn. It is not the same thing as a coordinated BIM model with levels, families, schedules, and clash detection. Skyfall’s public page does not say this site, or a waitlist email, unlocks that authoring tool.
If you work in construction documentation, use the benchmark as a vendor claim about speed and cost on their plan-drawing task. Confirm anything you would stake a project on against the official Skyfall materials, and later against whatever file format they actually ship.
Figures on this page are vendor-reported and were not re-run here.
